Assigned seating for Wellington comedy nights that actually sell out

Wellington comedy sells on who is on the bill and where you sit. A flat GA ticket for a 120-seat room creates a door argument. Assigned seating on the event page lets people take a row on their phone and stops double-booked chairs.

Build the map before you promote

Add a section: name, colour, price, sales window, rows by seats. Place it on the canvas. That section becomes its own ticket type. Checkout becomes Tickets → Seats → Delivery → Payment. Taken seats grey out in real time.

After the first ticket sells

Do not resize a section that already has a sale — the grid would regenerate and break issued seat IDs. You can add rows with the same seats-per-row. To widen, add a new section. Zones can raise capacity but cannot drop below sold plus reserved.
