Event pages
What to put on a New Zealand event page that actually sells
Buyers decide on a phone. Cover crop, lineup photos, FAQs, transport, and a checkout that does not demand an account.

Search and social both land on the same page. If the first screen is a blurry poster and no city, people bounce. Million Tickets event pages are built to be shared: a cover, the facts, tickets, then the story. Guest checkout means a buyer does not create an account to pay.
Photos that survive Instagram and Google
Use a 16:9 landscape cover. The crop is automatic; a square flyer will lose edges. Gallery tiles help Discover and link previews more than a wall of text. Lineup photos (square, faces) make a comedy or music bill feel real.
Write for New Zealand, not a generic “location”
Name the suburb and the venue. Say whether the 27 bus stops nearby. Fill Transport & Parking and the FAQ accordion — rain, age, bag check, last entry. Good to know is one block after the FAQ. Date, time, and venue chrome stay terracotta so they do not vanish into a custom accent colour.
- Descriptions support light Markdown: bold, lists, links.
- Your org logo from Settings shows with the organiser name.
- A custom domain changes the hostname, not the whole brand chrome.
If someone can forward the URL in a Wellington group chat and the preview still makes sense, the page is doing its job.
Share this layout with organisers or on social
The link, title, and cover image are what WhatsApp, Instagram, and Google pick up.
