Promo codes that sell the last New Zealand tickets — without cheapening the room
A code in Stories on Thursday is not the same as 50% off from day one. Tie discounts to an event, cap uses, and watch performance.

New Zealand rooms go quiet on a wet Wednesday. A promo code is how you move the last twenty without reprinting the poster as “cheap.” Put codes under Marketing, scoped to one event, percent or dollar off, optional use limit.
When a code helps
- Radio or campus partners who need a unique string.
- A 48-hour push after early bird has closed.
- A table you must fill for a fundraiser seating plan.
Buyers enter the code at checkout and see the new total before they pay. Performance lives next to the codes so you know which partner actually sold. Tracking pixels (Meta, GA4, Google Ads) sit at organisation level if you need paid social attribution as well.
Do not train your city to wait for a discount
If every Auckland show drops 30% on the day, people wait. Use early-bird ticket types with hard end dates first. Codes are for partners and last inventory, not a second price list you forgot to hide.
A code should feel like a door opened for a few people — not like the night was never going to sell.
