Checkout holds and card declines
What buyers and organisers should expect when payment does not finish.
Support can send this URL to organisers who need these steps.
Step 1
Holds
Starting checkout holds the selected tickets for a short window (about 15 minutes). If they do not pay, the hold drops and the tickets go back on sale. Seat holds work the same way.
Step 2
Declines
Stripe declines happen before money moves. No ticket is issued. The buyer should try another card or their bank. That is not a Million Tickets inventory bug.
Step 3
After the event end time
Checkout is blocked. Published or sold-out events move to completed once the end time has passed.
